  • Is there another means to do a more complete reset? I have followed the steps above and allowed it to reboot. However, neither the admin/password nor networks match the sticker on the device.

  • Dan,
No, there are only those 2 ways to restore these devices to factory settings. There are different admin user names and passwords depending on which firmware is on the units. Most ISP devices do not use the default admin/password combination. What is the serial number on the unit(s) you have?

  • WCB3000N01 Serial number is CWQA6150705030. After a reset the Wifi ssid changed to the default action tech wifi ssid. However even after multiple resets none of the below password combinations worked:
    username password
    admin admin
    admin password
    admin NO-PASSWORD

    Please help !

  • De Sai,
Unfortunately, the units you have are designed to work on Time Warner services and we cannot provide any assistance on those units. They were discontinued over 5 yrs ago.
The user name and password you listed are to access the GUI of the device not its wireless name and password.
The wireless name and password should be on the sticker of the unit to access the device.

  • This is Frustrating... CWQA units Locked down? Cannot get into them, Units worked great up until 3 days ago, Shut my WHOLE house down. If you know that Amazon is Selling this to consumers and your Only Out is that we don't Support it only makes me Question your Company and the products that you create. There should be a Way that these units can be modified and made to work. College Kids and High school Kids are now having to go and park Outside of Starbucks because we all work from HOME!

So Instead of Excuses, Offer SOLUTIONS!

  • Charles,

We do apologies you are having issues but this device has been discontinued for over 5 years now. So I'm not sure when you purchased those devices. Can you tell us the link from where you purchased those units?
