How to restore the PWR500 devices to factory default settings

For the PWR500 (1 port) adapter.
Unplug all other adapters from the power line and remove Ethernet cable. Press and hold the switch next to the Ethernet port for 15 seconds. At about 12 seconds the power light will go out then come back on solid. Repeat for all adapters.

For the PWR514 (4 Port) adapter.
Unplug all other adapters from the power line and remove Ethernet cables. Press the Reset button for 2-3 seconds and release. The Power light will go off then come back on solid. Repeat for all adapters.
Test the synchronization.
Put all Reset adapters into outlets in same room. There should be a Power and Link light on all units that are synchronized together. Any adapters without a Link light, repeat the Reset process.

  • Phillip,
No, this is the only process to restore the devices to factory defaults. If you have followed the instructions above and the devices still fail to reset then you would need to replace the adapters as they are defective.
